The central square features an amusement park, ice rink, cinema, restaurants, and cafés. Shops, pharmacies, ATMs, several hotels, and guest houses are all present. Nearby are the gondola lift and chairlifts to the Kokhta slopes. In summer, hiking and cycling trails are popular.
02Transport
Direct bus and minibus services connect the village to Borjomi (about 35 km away). From Tbilisi — approximately 3 hours by car or minibus via Borjomi. Additional minibuses run during the season. Local taxis are easy to find in the centre.
03Housing and prices
Soviet-era sanatorium buildings sit alongside new residential complexes and apart-hotels. Active construction since 2015 has turned the resort into a notable investment market. Average apartment prices start from around $950 per sq m and above.
04Schools and kindergartens
A local state school is available. For full schooling, families typically choose Borjomi or Tbilisi. Bakuriani is primarily a resort and investment location rather than a permanent residence.
05Safety and atmosphere
A safe resort village with a small year-round population. The well-lit centre has minimal crime. Busy during peak season; very quiet off-season.
