01Infrastructure
The Výstaviště exhibition complex, the National Technical Museum, and the cultural centre MEET FACTORY (a former factory) are all here. Holešovická tržnice market is a popular spot. Coffee shops, food halls, and independent shops have taken over former factory buildings. The large Stromovka park is within walking distance.
02Transport
Metro line C (red): Vltavská and Nádraží Holešovice — two stations. Some international and regional trains depart from Nádraží Holešovice. Tram 17 along the embankment connects the district with Praha 1.
03Housing and prices
Renovated apartment buildings and the first new loft projects in former industrial buildings. Prices are rising with continued gentrification, but still below Vinohrady. A varied range of options.
04Schools and kindergartens
Several primary schools and kindergartens. The Bubny–Zátory development project plans schools for 5,000 pupils. The University of Chemistry and Technology is nearby.
05Safety and atmosphere
The district is considerably safer than 15 years ago — gentrification has transformed its character. Well lit and popular with young people. Exercise normal caution around Holešovice station at night.
