01Infrastructure
The centre houses the hokimiyat, banks, the Panjshanbe bazaar, restaurants, cafés and pharmacies; the Khoja Amin-Kabri mosque and other 18th–19th-century historic monuments are nearby. Retail and service infrastructure is dense, and everything you need is within walking distance.
02Transport
The centre is the intersection of the city's main bus and minibus routes; the bus station and the main exits from the city are conveniently reached. Traffic on the main streets is busy at rush hour.
03Housing and prices
A mix of Soviet-era brick blocks, apartment buildings and occasional new builds, plus private houses in the historic mahallas. Prices are above the city average — the district is sought after for its location and infrastructure.
04Schools and kindergartens
The centre and its surroundings concentrate schools, lycées, colleges and universities, including Namangan State University; language and learning centres are within walking distance.
05Safety and atmosphere
A central district with good lighting, lively streets and a security presence. The atmosphere is retail and business-like, quieter in the evening.
