01Infrastructure
The Moda waterfront, the pedestrian streets of Bahariye and Kadıköy çarşı with cafés, restaurants and boutiques, fresh produce and fish markets, parks and cultural venues. Social and retail amenities are excellent, with private clinics and major supermarkets close at hand.
02Transport
Asian side. Ferry connections to Eminönü, Karaköy and Beşiktaş, M4 metro and Marmaray stations, and a dense bus and dolmuş network. Getting to the historic centre and the Levent business district is easy.
03Housing and prices
Mostly flats in solid buildings of varying heights, with scattered new builds and renovated blocks. One of the most expensive districts on the Asian side for both rent and purchase.
04Schools and kindergartens
Plenty of state and private schools, kindergartens and language centres; university campuses and student housing nearby. The educational environment makes the district popular with families.
05Safety and atmosphere
Considered one of the safest and most comfortable districts in the city: well-lit streets, lively blocks and a calm atmosphere even in the evenings.
