Vake is home to the Tbilisi Botanical Garden, Vake Park with its open-air pool and walking areas, major shopping centres East Point and Galleria, plus numerous cafés, restaurants, and private clinics. Everyday infrastructure is exceptional: everything from organic grocery stores to international fitness clubs is on your doorstep.
02Transport
The district is served by Vazisubani metro station (Line 2, opened in 2000) and extensive bus routes. The journey to the city centre — Rustaveli Avenue — takes about 10–15 minutes by metro or minibus. Morning rush-hour traffic towards the centre can be heavy.
03Housing and prices
Vake is dominated by high-quality Soviet-era buildings, renovated mansions, and modern business-class residential complexes. It is one of the most expensive districts for both renting and buying — prices are consistently above the city average.
04Schools and kindergartens
The district is served by Tbilisi's leading private and international schools, several state gymnasiums with strong academic programmes, and kindergartens. The Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University campus is also nearby.
05Safety and atmosphere
Vake is considered one of Tbilisi's safest neighbourhoods. Streets are well lit, courtyards well maintained, and police patrols are regular. The atmosphere is calm and upscale.
