Liberty Square metro station is Tbilisi's main interchange, right in the heart of the city. Old Tbilisi, Sololaki, and Tavisuplebis Moedani are all right here.

Liberty Square station (Georgian: Tavisuplebis Moedani) opened in 1967. Historically known as Lenin Square, it was renamed after Georgia regained independence. This is the most important transfer point on Line 1: it provides easy access to the Old Town, Sololaki, and Mtatsminda. The central square, with its golden statue of Saint George slaying the dragon at a fountain, is one of Tbilisi's most recognisable landmarks.
The surrounding quarters — Sololaki and Mtatsminda — are among the most expensive and atmospheric in the city. Historic 19th-to-20th-century townhouses, with strong demand from expats and investors in short-term lets.
Line 1 metro, with connections to buses and minibuses across the whole centre. Rustaveli is one stop; Avlabari is one stop. Old Tbilisi is reachable on foot.
