01Infrastructure
Kristiine is home to Ülemiste City business park and the Järve Keskus shopping centre, which includes a hypermarket, cinema, and hundreds of stores. Nearby is Ülemiste järv (Lake Ülemiste), ideal for walks; the district also has a health clinic, pharmacies, and a full range of school facilities.
02Transport
Tram line 4 (airport–city centre) runs through Kristiine, and several bus routes connect the district to every part of the city. The city centre is 10–15 minutes away; Tallinn Airport is just 5 minutes by tram.
03Housing and prices
A mixed housing stock: Soviet-era panel and brick buildings sit alongside modern residential developments. Prices fall below Kesklinn but above the outer suburbs — the district is widely regarded as Tallinn's 'sweet spot' on the property market.
04Schools and kindergartens
Kristiine has several state schools and kindergartens; TalTech is close by. The educational environment is solid — a good base for families.
05Safety and atmosphere
A calm residential area with good street lighting; proximity to the Ülemiste City business hub creates a lively daytime atmosphere and moderate traffic. Evenings are quiet with a high level of safety.
