Trams 2 and 10 and buses link Slezská Ostrava with the centre in 15 minutes. A pedestrian bridge across the Ostravice gives direct access to Forum Nová Karolina. Riverside cycle paths are popular with residents.

Private houses, villas, and low-rise development — an atypically quiet 'suburban' atmosphere for Ostrava, with good transport links to the centre. Purchase prices from 33,000 to 55,000 CZK per sq m; houses with gardens from 3 to 7 million CZK.
