01Infrastructure
Masaryk University campus with libraries, sports facilities, and cafés is open to all residents. Brno Faculty Hospital (FN Bohunice) is the region's largest clinic. Campus Square shopping centre is next to the campus. Several supermarkets, a market, and pharmacies within the neighbourhood.
02Transport
Trams 8 and 12 provide a direct link with the centre in 15 minutes. Buses to Zvonařka and the central bus station. Wide cycle paths through the campus make cycling comfortable to any part of the city.
03Housing and prices
A mix of 1980s panel buildings and modern business-class residential complexes near the campus. Purchase prices from 70,000 to 105,000 CZK per sq m; student apartment rents 10,000–16,000 CZK per month. High demand from students and medical staff.
04Schools and kindergartens
Masaryk University has several faculties directly in the neighbourhood. State primary schools and kindergartens. A grammar school in neighbouring Starý Lískovec and Bohunice — 5–10 minutes by tram.
05Safety and atmosphere
