01Infrastructure
The quarter contains the Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Palace of Sports, the Na Nyamizie shopping centre, the Royal Plaza business centre, fashionable restaurants and the bars of Zybitskaya Street. Nearby sit the Trinity Suburb, the Upper Town, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and the oldest building of Minsk — the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral (1613).
02Transport
The Nyamiha station on the Avtazavadskaya line opened in 1990 and sits right next to the quarter. Frequent buses and trolleybuses connect Nyamiha with the Central district and its neighbours.
03Housing and prices
Mostly solid Soviet-era buildings and a handful of premium new builds. This is one of the most expensive locations in Minsk to rent or buy — the historical value and central position keep demand high.
04Schools and kindergartens
Gymnasiums and schools of the Central district are nearby, with the universities of the centre in easy reach. Several music and art schools sit within walking distance.
05Safety and atmosphere
The quarter is well lit and stays busy late into the evening, especially around Zybitskaya — the informal heart of Minsk nightlife. The atmosphere is touristic and lively.
