01Infrastructure
The Vulka and Kovalyovo microdistricts host the main wave of new construction in Brest in recent years. Major supermarkets (KORONA, ALMI), markets, polyclinics and schools are evenly distributed across the area. The Trishin quarter has well-developed ground-floor retail.
02Transport
Bus and trolleybus routes link the microdistricts with the centre; from Vulka to the centre is about 15–20 minutes. Regular runs serve the main railway and bus stations.
03Housing and prices
An active construction district: most new builds and subsidised housing in Brest are going up in Vulka and Kovalyovo. Prices are moderate, with a wide choice of flats for those on the waiting lists and through shared-equity construction.
04Schools and kindergartens
Schools, kindergartens and gymnasiums in every major microdistrict; the Brest State Technical University (BrSTU) is located in Moskovsky district.
05Safety and atmosphere
A calm residential district with an actively forming environment. Lighting in the new blocks is good and the courtyards are landscaped.
