01Infrastructure
Nəsimi concentrates large shopping centres, banks, business centres, cafés and restaurants — almost everything is within walking distance. Fountains Square, the central parks, polyclinics and private clinics are all here. This is the city's business and retail heart.
02Transport
The 28 May, Gənclik and Nizami metro stations run through the district, alongside the main bus routes. Reaching any point in the centre is easy without changes, though streets get congested at peak hours.
03Housing and prices
Housing in Nəsimi blends Soviet-era and pre-revolutionary buildings in the historic core with modern business-class new builds. It is one of the most expensive districts in Baku for both rent and purchase.
04Schools and kindergartens
The district has schools with Russian and Azeri sectors, gymnasiums, private kindergartens and supplementary education centres. Universities and colleges of the central area are close at hand.
05Safety and atmosphere
Nəsimi is well lit, patrolled and lively at any hour. The atmosphere is businesslike and urban; the main discomfort is noise and dense traffic, not safety.
